This project spans 143 acres and is estimated to cost ₹36,000 crores, with the intent of rehabilitating thousands of commercial and residential units. Adani's proposal won the bid because they provided a higher built up area than other bidders under the MHADA tender.
The redevelopment is expected to bring a much-needed boost to the Goregaon area. It will improve the overall infrastructure of the area and also provide a green cover along with community areas which sets a standard for mid-income housing projects in Mumbai.
